What is INTUITIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY?
I believe we are all born with natural intuitive gifts and knowing. When we are very young, we FEEL what is right or wrong. Its an inner knowing, or "gut feeling", about a situation, person, or place. Children are also highly attuned to the spiritual world for the first several years of their lives. What adults tend to call "make believe or vivid imaginations" is also a child communicating with spirits. Then as we grow older or have experiences where adults encourage these innate abilities to close, the natural tendency to listen to our intuition, decreases. Intuition can also be called "messages from spirit", "gut feeling", "knowing something without knowing how", or other ways of describing having information without logical reasoning behind it. It's listening with your heart vs. your mind. You just KNOW.
Spirit is known by many titles, names, or descriptors across time and space. Some will call spirit: God, Allah, Buddha, Great Spirit, Jehovah, Yahweh, or many other terms to describe a force/energy greater than oneself. No matter your belief system, the spirits that show up to support my work with you, will have messages specifically for you. That is what matters in the end.
What are the GOALS of INTUITIVE PSYCHOTHERAPY?
Intuitive Psychotherapy BLENDS Mind, Body, & Soul: CREATING HOLISTIC WELL-BEING
I am a highly trained and seasoned Licensed Psychologist. I have trained to understand the underlying principals to human behavior and personality. How our life experiences and major attachment figures influence our patterns that emerge in life. This includes how we cope with our feelings, how we relate and connect with other humans, and ultimately how we internally process every interaction we have with our external world.
I shifted into the Intuitive aspect, when I realized that traditional psychotherapy focuses primarily on the mind. What I realized over time, is that the two other MAJOR aspects of the human self were missing: BODY and SOUL. Throughout history, there is documentation of these principals, from Eckhart Tolle or Deepok Chopra in present day, to Carl Jung's theories of archetypes that derive from the collective unconscious and are the psychic counterpart of instinct, to many cultures practices of Shamanic Healing, to Buddhist or Taoist philosophies on the path of enlightenment, or across the same timeline where artifacts are found across Egypt and South America that included overlapping religious themes despite the vast separation with land mass, ocean, and distance. These themes of mind, body, and soul creating spirit, is within our world wide knowledge now and across time. So, I started to research, learn, and train in order to understand how it all worked together. I wanted to understand how to help my clients THRIVE in life, not just survive. I was determined to help others truly HEAL on all levels.
